While rehabilitating from a stroke in a local rehab hospital our client’s wife was left in the bathroom unattended. She was found on the floor and subsequently passed away from a massive brain bleed. The medical examiner determined she had suffered a spontaneous brain hemorrhage, which caused her to fall. After analyzing the autopsy findings and having our own forensic and clinical experts evaluate the evidence, we persuaded the Chief medical examiner to reopen the investigation. The office withdrew its original conclusion and found that there was evidence of trauma to the head which resulted in the fatal event.
